I first learned about the organization when my friends brought me to the End Overdose booth at a music festival, and I was immediately drawn to the mission and the people behind it. After moving back to the Bay for work, I wanted to get involved in my community in a meaningful way. It was a surreal moment, but I had naloxone in my backpack that I’d received from the End Overdose booth, and I knew how to respond because I had been trained. The experience made the reality and prevalence of overdose incidents stunningly clear to me.
