Volunteer of the Week: Amber Doesburg

by End Overdose

Jan.24.2026

End Overdose is made possible by hundreds of volunteers working tirelessly across the country. Some of them are training attendees at national festivals on how to respond to an overdose, while others are packing naloxone kits in our office well into the evening hours. We want to shine a light on the people whose efforts make our resources free and accessible to all, so we’re excited to share our Volunteer of the Week: Amber Doesburg!

Amber has been a longstanding, dedicated volunteer with End Overdose and has been present at the majority of our events since joining. She has earned the respect of her peers through her leadership and reliability, often stepping into lead roles onsite. We are incredibly grateful for Amber and all that she brings to our team!

Amber's story

I’m a SoCal native and have always had a love for live music! I’m currently pursuing my Bachelor’s in English with the goal of being a teacher. I love working with the youth, I’ve been working with special needs students for 4 years now. During my free time you can find me at the gym weightlifting, spending time outdoors, or enjoying local shows with friends!

Why Amber volunteers

I was introduced to End Overdose through a friend who was already volunteering and also passionate about overdose prevention. After researching the organization I knew I wanted to join the team. Spreading knowledge and providing rapid trainings at events is an amazing hands-on way to be a part of the cause.

Amber's favorites memories with End Overdose

My favorite memories from volunteering with End Overdose have been meeting some of the artists who also support the organization. I’ve been so lucky to meet Dj Diesel, Lil Texas, and Taylor Torrence! Additionally, I also love the connections you build with the people who stop by the booth and share a bit of their own story with me. Volunteering for End Overdose has granted me the opportunity to meet so many amazing people. The team of volunteers we have at End Overdose are truly inspiring and I’m honored to work alongside everyone.
