On the heels of releasing our Leading Change on Campus training in collaboration with the state of Arkansas, End Overdose is proud to present two brand new trainings: OUD Signs, Prevention, & Key Facts, and OUD Stigma. Grant funded by the OSAMH Mid-South and Arkansas Department of Human Services, these trainings provide expert insight on opioid use disorder through End Overdose’s flagship training platform at endoverdose.net.
OUD Signs, Prevention, & Key Facts allows those taking the training to better understand the causes and conditions of OUD, alongside the solutions that range from being held by individuals, to professional providers, and unified communities. The first step to understanding and ultimately preventing OUD is to become educated on the core tenets of the diagnosis.
OUD Stigma has the purpose of dismantling stigma at its roots, both for people who want to fight stigma through tough conversations, or those who know they harbor stigma and want to consciously shift their perspective. It's challenging work, but it will ultimately lead to more empathetic communities armed with vetted information on OUD.
“We’re excited to continue our successful collaborations with the Arkansas OSAMH and DHS,” says End Overdose founder and CEO Theo Krzywicki. “Through these trainings, Arkansas residents and residents nationwide can educate themselves on one of the leading public health crises and do their part to secure the facts around OUD, understand the key issues at hand, and work towards a healthier world.” Krzywicki adds, "We'd especially like to thank Dr. Irene Yaymadjian, Dr. Smita Malhotra, Dr. David Deyhimy, and Brooke Sanders for their contributions toward these new trainings by providing their invaluable expertise."
