He was 23 years old. Experiencing this loss as a result of a drug poisoning was devastating and the hardest thing I’ve gone through. One of the forms my grief took was a drive to do everything I could so no one else would have to die. I had known about End Overdose and their goals, and upon getting accepted into the University of California, Santa Cruz, I realized that there was no EO chapter there. Immediately, this became my goal and passion.
