Chapter of the Week: California State University, Northridge

by End Overdose

Feb.13.2026

End Overdose's chapter program is vital to our success in equipping young people with lifesaving education and resources. In cities and on college campuses, we trust them to spread the word through a true peer-to-peer model. Our members and volunteers are committing endless hours to End Overdose's cause, so we want to highlight a chapter every week.

Today, we're proud to highlight our CSUN chapter! We spoke with Chapter President Liora Perets about co-founding the CSUN team, upcoming collaborations with other campus groups and Greek life, the chapter's rapidly growing member base, and more!

What sparked your interest in overdose prevention/response and End Overdose in particular?

I was first introduced to End Overdose at an Illenium show. I had some time before the headliner came up and wandered over to their table. The fact that people were taking time out of their fun night to get trained showed me how important this is. What sparked my interest was the fact that End Overdose is actively saving people's lives.

Can you describe your experience as the chapter president?

My experience as a Chapter President has been intense in a good way. My co-founder, Michaella Shnider, and I are building End Overdose at CSUN from scratch, so there is always another training session I need to attend or a paper to sign. After work and school, it's nice to sit down and focus on something I care about. Being Chapter President lets me practice my organizational and management skills while staying creative.

What are the major highlights from your chapter’s work to date?

To date, our biggest highlight as a chapter has been participating in Meet the Clubs. We had so much foot traffic and even managed to train a couple of students. It was amazing to see how much people cared about End Overdose and how excited they were to join our club.

What do you envision for the future of your chapter?

I can't wait to see End Overdose at CSUN grow in membership and renown. We are soon going to be collaborating with other on-campus clubs/Greek life and already have 13 new members, all from tabling 1 time at Meet the Clubs! As a senior, I want to leave End Overdose at CSUN set up for success.
